I love my new (to me) 99 Daytona 955i, but I noticed that on heavy engine braking the motor 'bogs down' when I blip the throttle to match engine speed for the down shift (old habits). I got the bike serviced as soon as I got it ($404 for a service!!!?), including latest maps from Triumph for the Triumph carbon race pipe - but it's still the same. Is this normal? Should I be changing my habits? At my age? Or should I take it to another dealer next time. :???:

My issue sounds similar to yours.
I have an '00 Daytona and love it. However, sometimes when I yank the clutch for down shifts and/or quick stops my RPM's drop way below normal idle and sometimes stall the engine (even w/ most current mapping) ... before I take it to the shop has anybody had similar issues or has ideas about what is happening?
Take care.
