Talking Happy Tenth Birthday Centennial Daytona!

This is a Happy Birthday message from my bike to the other Centennial Edition Daytonas on the forum (and a cheery hello at the same time to all the D955s here ). These bikes turn 10 during the course of this year and I hope they'll be around for many years to come.

I put mine on display last month at a Triumph gathering so that I could celebrate her birthday in public !

Please post pics of your CE (old or new pics, standard or modified bike). I guess it'll be a predominantly very dark green thread!

DaveB.

Dave, I know of one CE in silver, was originally green... maybe it'll be shown(?).

Brad

PS There's a good story to it also.

Happy 10th to all the CE's!

Its funny after all these years I still find myself going into my garage and just staring at her. Pretty as ever. Any suggestions on a birthday present for her?

This was back when I first fell in love with her.

jakepepe, That Hex will be for the road license.

The colour of the CE model is gorgeous, If I ever respray my 2000 which is in its natural silver, it would be in this green !
I love those gold wheels by the way, that is a nice touch.

Peter955...I bet that Termignoni sounds a treat !

These bikes will still look great in another 10 years !

No, I dont know how many were made. Lots of folks have asked that question and no one seems to really know. I've even wrote to Triumph a few times, but got no response.

Hey, but nice black frame!

Well that's a bit elitist... what about all the other 2002 Triumphs that turn 10 this year (like the ST her Dad's going to be riding to the Isle of Man in August)? Don't they deserve a "Happy Birthday" too?

I had the privilege of riding DaveB's Daytona on two or three occasions back in December. What a great bike; I felt right at home on it within a couple of miles. Loads of power without being in any way intimidating, it's a genuine superbike for the road in a world of racetrack refugees. Hard to believe it's ten years old, but then it's a very low mileage minter so it should feel good.

Thanks for the experience, DaveB, and happy birthday to the Green Goddess. (I'll tell the Sprint she said Hi )
