What are you all seeing on the temp gauge during operation? In 70 to 80 degree weather, I'm running 180-182 at highway speeds. In traffic though, the temp rises pretty quick to 220 when the fan comes on. Then it creeps up to 230+.

I know the 955 runs hot, but hot is too hot?

My bike runs at 79-81 (174-178)
Fan comes on at 104 (219)

Never gone above 107 (225) and that was a one off in 40 (100+)

In the conditions you've described here is how mine runs:

Between 175 - 185 on highway
Between 210 - 220 city

Also, my temp has NEVER gone above 225. What type of coolant are you using?

The blue stuff from the dealer.

I don't know if it would continue to rise...when it hits 230 (10-15 min of bumper to bumper red lights), I find a side street to cool it down.

Same as everyone else. The fan keeps it from exceeding 225.

I'm getting the same range as you Sprocket. 160-180 on freeways and 200 to 220 when the fan comes on and nevery much hotter than 225
