This pic was taken just south of San Francisco on route 236, on the ride did route 35 (alices restaurant) and route 9. More pics here: http://flickr.com/photos/karllong/se...7594585653338/

I just recently got my daytona and i'm loving it, it's a '99 with about 3500 miles on it. No real mods yet, carbon exhaust, interested in eliminating the fender, although all the mods you can buy are for '02 and newer

Cheers,

Karl

Great pic with the redwoods in the background
With that mileage I guess you bought the one that was at MotoJava.
My friend & I both looked real hard at that one & each of us came really close to buying!
But had the opportunity to purchase a low miles 02 Daytona motor so went that route instead. My bike is already significantly modified & I would have wanted to swap the pieces onto the Daytona - but couldn't really bring myself to do that to such a pristine factory-stock example.
Congrats & wish you continued enjoyment!

Haha, you are correct sir, I did pick it up at Motojava, it took me a little while to pull the trigger but now i'm glad I did :-) Nice to hear from some more local Triumph owners, I have a friend at work with a speed triple as well.

BTW are you Scottish? I noticed the flag, i'm a brit from the south of England around the New Forest.

Cheers,

Karl

Yes .......... & indeed D'Ecosse - no apostrophe allowed in SN on TriumphRat.net - means "from Scotland"
