I don't know that the thread is the same - note that there are actually three configs of stem/clamp/top nut - all of which are matched by VIN.
The best option might be to have the clamp you purchased machined to 25mm diameter - find a machine shop and tell them you need it opened up to larger ID on the same center.
15min job (tops) on a mill.
Note that it is not just the clamp and nut that change, but also the stem itself.
So I'm not sure whether you can just swap the clamp & nut alone
I believe it's 07 and up s3...maybe it's a little earlier have the nice pre drilled holes for a set of risers.
Do any of you guys know if these newer upper triple clamps will fit my 02 daytona?
UPDATE: Sorry for highjacking this thread but here goes.
I can tell you that a stem nut from a Sprint does not work. It is an M22 hex style nut but has a 1.0 pitch (so I got one if anybody needs one ). I called the ebay dealer in Denver and after sufficient groveling and begging he finally agreed to sell me the 6 hole nut that was on the bike that the top clamp came from. I picked up a clutch cable as well. This happened today. So we'll see.
