Thanks Nelsifer. Does your yoke have the 22mm or 25mm hole? Mark.

The best option might be to have the clamp you purchased machined to 25mm diameter - find a machine shop and tell them you need it opened up to larger ID on the same center.
15min job (tops) on a mill.
What..do..you..mean...THREE??? Say it aint so. I have considered a machine shop but I'll try first to find the proper nut.

Note that it is not just the clamp and nut that change, but also the stem itself.
So I'm not sure whether you can just swap the clamp & nut alone

Jeesh!!! Why would they do such a thing? Using up parts laying around I guess.
There is a 38mm diameter recess in my top yoke that a standard nut would have to fit into (plus the socket) (unless I modify a standard nut some how) (weld a smaller nut to the top). The guy I bought the yoke from has the nut I need but he is selling it with the bottom yoke, stem AND the forks. I contacted them and explained my situation and the person I talked to said he would ask the owner on Monday. I told him about the model changes and how whoever buys that set-up may well not need it. We'll see what happens. Mark.

Do any of you guys know if these newer upper triple clamps will fit my 02 daytona?

UPDATE: Sorry for highjacking this thread but here goes.

I can tell you that a stem nut from a Sprint does not work. It is an M22 hex style nut but has a 1.0 pitch (so I got one if anybody needs one ). I called the ebay dealer in Denver and after sufficient groveling and begging he finally agreed to sell me the 6 hole nut that was on the bike that the top clamp came from. I picked up a clutch cable as well. This happened today. So we'll see.

It was 2 years old. I don't think you hurt anyone's feelings.
