2004 955I possibly parting out

So after a few years since my accident, I'm giving up my two-wheeled endevors. My daytona has new upper, and side plastics, new-to-me headlight and is in very good mechanical running condition. Skyjack undertail exhaust, new sprockets/chain. The problems with her are there is no instrument cluster installed (original one was destroyed) and the tail has some rash an a crack or three. I'd love to sell her as a whole, but I'm sure most will be weary of the fact that I have no odometer, so title transfer might be a sticking point. I'm writing this post to try and gage interest in parting her out. I haven't made a decision to part out the bike, but if I can get enough out of it, I'm game. What do you guys think?

I'm definitely interested in the right side fairing, the cockpit subframe (provided it's not bent up), the headlight cluster, the left side fairing mounting bracket, as well as the undertail exhaust. However, the fairing, lights, and exhaust are dependent on my funds available at the time of sale.

I love that exhaust system!

You will definitely get more money over the long term by breaking it up although you will need the ability to dismantle, the space to store it and the patience to wait until buyers show up for everything worth selling.

Ebay tends to help or swap meets....

If you do decide to break it up, let us know for sure. I have been trying to find some of those parts for quite a while, and that would be quite the help.

I do hate to see a nearly complete bike torn down to pieces. If it only needs a few parts I'd find them, install them and then sell. That's just my view though.

His issue thought is that people are going to pay significantly less money for a bike that was in an accident and has no true mileage. However, I am curious, is that information actually sorted in the display, or in the ECU? You might be able to just hook up a new instrument cluster and have it give the correct mileage.

I'm up for buying your tank cover if you part out.

I am sure that parting it out will bring in more money, there are a few parts that I would want, of course they are the same parts the everyone else would want too, LOL. I might be intersted in buying it whole and turning it into a trackbike, but that would depend on asking price.

I would be interested in the fuel pump assembly, the left fairing, and possibly the ecm - I would need to know a price for these before confirming purchase of all or some.

Thanks for all the interest, but I sold the bike on craigslist for $2400. I think he got a steal, but I'm moving and needed to get rid of it before then. Hated to see her go though. Loved that bike.
