It seems like a lot of US dealers are finding it tough going, and are closing their doors. It must be really tough for the customer if their nearest dealer is now hundreds of miles away. It's all too easy for us here in the UK, to forget how vast the USA is. I've got 3 Triumph dealers within a 25 mile radius!

MGV, Motorcycles are very much seen as a 'luxury item' over here and in a tough economy luxury items are the first cut in the budget. I've three Triumph dealers within 50 miles of me and one has expanded with a Triumph only showroom, but none are single brand dealers.

robbo, Did you have any advance warning so you could pick up items cheaply?

That sucks, robbo. The one in Raleigh (no small Metro area) closed up shop. Luckily there is still one in Greensboro (which IS a small Metro area) which is much closer to me. It makes me nervous though. Most Trumpet dealerships I've seen are companion dealerships with BMW or Ducati or both. Can it be the struggles of THOSE companies has dragged Triumph with it? I know that Triumph is one of the few (only?) manufacturers that is doing well.
