'98 t595 60,000k service Q.

G'day all, i don't have a service/workshop manual and am 10klms from 60,000k's, wondered if anyone knows what work is done for this service. Thought it would be good to know what to expect before i get some quotes, thanks...

peterk, Main items added at every 20 K:

-valve check/adjustment
-headbearings adjust/lube
-air filter
-sparkplug renew
-balance TBs
-replace fuel filter
-fork oil replacement

Most important item is the valve check followed closely by the TB balance. Because the cam cover is removed, which requires sparkplug removal it's a good time to replace the sparkplugs.

peterk, Just to avoid any possible cylinder head damage, it's best to take it in for just the valve clearance/adjustment and new 'plugs, which should save around half. The others can be done when the wallet permits.

peterk, That's balancing the throttle bodies. This procedure mainly effects the idle quality, but insures all cylinders are equally sharing the load throughout the rev range.
