hi all

I have an issue where i press the starter button on my daytona 900 and nothing happens other than the battery light dims on the dashboard, the battery is on an optimiser and is fully charged, the starter motor is almost brand new, can anyone tell me what/where i should look at next?

Gibbo, The battery may indicate proper voltage and yet not able to deliver enough amperage to start the engine. Have you tried to jump start the 900? The engine need not be running in the 'donor' vehicle.

If you have a voltmeter, connect to the battery terminals and press the starter. If voltage is less than or equal to 8-9VDC, the battery is done for.

If you think the starter gear may be jammed, place the transmission into one of the upper gears and try to rotate the engine with the rear wheel.

checked the battery and its fine, also put it in the higher gears and done the rear wheel and pushed it down the road in 2nd and 3rd, no joy
