955i dssa exhaust end can query

hello everyone, this is my first posting to the forums and i was wondering if i could ask for a little advice.after far too long i have purchased a mint '01 dssa 955i daytona,i had always hankered after one, mainly due to how impressed i was with the handling+braking(+comfort!)of a TT i owned a few years ago.
i want to replace the std silencer with something a bit free(r)flowing+i just wanted to enquire if an aftermarket can + link pipe from a sssa ('02-'04) daytona will fit a dssa bike? ive been searching for ages through the forums but havent unearthed anything yet, could someone with more knowledge than me enlighten me? many thanks in advance-gary...

Gary, Welcome to the forum.

The cans aren't as much a problem as the link pipe between the collector and the can. High mount systems often turn inwards shortly after the collector into a space occupied on your bike by a swingarm. You're basically limited to a low mount or a 'semi high mount'.

Right now the '02 DSSA here has a low mount Jardine aluminum set up. It has had a Carbon Can Company semi high mount that was nice, but didn't make it through a low side.

Two Brothers and Wolf may be able to help.

Brad

PS The semi high mount term isn't really correct, but the can ends up lower than a high mount and slightly higher than a low mow mount.

Thanks brad, the silencer+link pipe i was interested in had been fitted to a centennial, but the link pipe looked like it would be a low mount,(it was pretty straight) i was just wondering(If it was a low mount!)would it fit onto the dssa?
