front fork set from 600 bikes

Is there going to be a problem if we use forks from a 600cc bike? Will they be too short? I only ask because I was going to consider the gsxr 1000 forks, but I see that they're 50mm and I already have hi-rise clip on bars that I don't want to have to rebuy for my 01 tona, so that means I have to buy forks that are 45mm, and based on the link below, most of the 45mm forks are in the 600cc category.

What are you trying to achieve Tim?

You seemed to be looking for USD's - any fork that takes a 45mm clip-on is not going to be a USD fork, just another conventional fork.
And if you want a better conventional fork, get some better valves (like Racetech Gold or whatever) & rebuild your own. It's going to be a lot less hassle.

I'm not trying to discourage you, just getting you to think about all that is involved.
The GSXR is still probably the most efficient solution, but there are still some things you'll have to work around.
There is simply no cheap easy way - or more people would do it!
