Secondary Air Intake (SAI) Explanation?

Hi guys!
Anybody can give to me an explanation about how work the Secondary Air Intake in the 955i 06?
It's like the SRAD system in the Suzukis?

Thanks very much!

No - but it's like the PAIR (Pulsed Air Intake Reed) system in Suzukis - identical in operation to that.
Has a valve that bleeds air into the exhaust ports.
SAI is Secondary Air Injection.
It tends to make the exhaust 'pop' when throttle is closed!

Like the Suzuki, you can get blanking plates if you want to remove it.
However it is best if you have dealer reprogram the ECM with a non-SAI map - the check engine light will be on if the valve is disconnected. You can bridge the connector plug wuth a resistor however to 'fool' the ECM
