ongoing turn signal installation

I'm installing a complete set of turn signals on to my Super III, which were absent from the last owner. I've put on three Buell signals, as recommended by another forum poster, and I'll get the fourth one in today. So far, the signals are not working. I know the lights work, from hooking them directly to feed. I hear the flasher click once, so I know power is reaching the relay.

Could it be that I need the final fourth signal installed to complete the circuit, in order to provide the relay with a complete load in order to function? If that's not it, I'm thinking I need a new flasher. Since Triumph charges...GULP!...78 bucks for a new flasher (I'm not joking), is there any reason I can't use some mongrel flasher, so long as it operates on 12 volts, 10 amps, and accommodates the same 3-prong connector?

These Buell signals are LED, yes?

This one should work

I'm not intimate with the wiring on the T3, but you will most likely also need to re-configure your wiring to the display indicator lamp
See this post for details.

Actually, the Buell lights use regular bulbs. I went to the AutoZone and bought a universal, 3-prong flasher for ten bucks. The blinkers work but they flash quickly, which tells me this flasher relay is meant for higher wattage bulbs for a bigger load. Come to find the Buell guy can sell me a Buell flasher that will work just fine, also for ten bucks. Now what does that tell you about the Triumph company? Is this how they reward customer loyalty?
