Here's a question for which the answer should be obvious to me, but I'll rely on advice from someone experienced. I'm doing my first track day next week and wonder if there is one type of tape that is better (doesn't leave a residue) for taping mirrors, reflectors, etc. Any suggestions.
We used a white vinyl tape (don't know the brand) and it left no residue. Be sure to unplug your headlights or you will have a cooked on sticky mess. You may also want to take the time to take off your mirrors and turn signals just in case...
Yeah, I use painters tape first (blue masking) you can stop there, but I put black duct tape over it, to get the full on pimp effect. I remove my mirrors and signals, and if you have reflectors STILL ...... get them off there! They are fugly :-D
