Question that is rich

my 02 955i dayt seems to be running rich at idle, not sure at higher rpm as i am riding it at these times is there anything i can do about this or will i have to take it to the shop? I have already replaced the plugs and the exhaust still smells real rich, also the old plugs where real black and sooted up any help would be greatly appreciated

Could be a really dirty air filter, or the intake and exhaust sensors could be fouled?

You can do a forced adaptation and if it is really wrong, the CPU will try to adjust.

The procedure is in the service manual but wait for a nice warm day, then let your bike idle for a few minutes.
