Klonk noise is your sprag clutch - hard start & that noise tells me you probably have a bad battery!
Sure way to ruin your sprag is to start with low battery - that is very expensive repair as it is an engine-out & split crankcases job on that model!
Do load test on battery and replace if marginal.
Even though there is seemingly enough current to spin the starter, the voltage is obviously sagging considerably - which makes for low coil volts and poor starting. Don't be fooled by fact starter is spinning apparently normally that your battery is OK.

benoit.arsenault, Don't worry about that hose. I connects the FPR to the airbox in the off chance that airbox pressure becomes positive.

I'm not sure I understand the previous owner's starter button modification...is the original button bypassed and another button used? If so, this may be a problem.
