Question Stand

Can anyone recommend a stand for the single side swingarm, must be obtainable in Australia (ie a center stand replacement). I prefer to have the bike upright when working on it.

The Anderson Stand (Google). There's no question, it's the ant's pants.

I have one for my '06 Daytona 955i.

The bike is extremely stable when on the stand, the "male" shaft for the SSA is on rollers so you can rotate the wheel and most importantly, you can throw the bike up on it on your own from the sidestand and back down without a worry, due to the design.

Their universal front stand is crap. The rear is fabulous.

Thanks Linz, they look great, I'll be on the phone first thing tomorrow. Looking at the S6 space saver model.

Jollybox, The Triumph stand is okay for most things. Overpriced new, but they come up on the web used from time to time.

On Linz's advice I checked out the Anderson stands, and bought one this morning. Very pleasant guy on the end of the phone and very reasonable shipping to QLD (9$).

Ive got the triumph stand and a generic no-name one of the long arm varieties and find both horrendous to use with the daytona. The Triumph one i cant operate on my own (and i aint exactly a scrawny little guy) and when its on it looks unstable, the no-name is easier to do solo but takes instability to a whole new level.

After seeing them in use at the bike show i am considering getting a wheel chock from these guys on the basis that it should increase stability and either let me operate the current rear stand solo or allow the use of rollers on the rear wheel.
