WTB 02 955 regulator.

I'm posting this here because it would not let me start a new thread in the classified section.

I am looking for a regulator/rectifier for an 02 daytona 955. mine just burnt up and i need one before summer gets here. i know someone has to have one laying around and can help a fellow trumpet owner out. i am currently out of work so cheaper the better.

thanks in advance for any help someone can throw my way.

Make sure that your regulator has really gone: I thought mine had, but it turned out that it was the wiring from the reg to the fuse box. There's a wiring mod shown somewhere on this forum that fixes it for very low cost - worth trying before you buy a reg.

Check this out - http://www.triumphrat.net/maintenanc...r-upgrade.html
Another option vs OEM and more effective into the bargain.

Reviewing the thread on your SouthEast Massive Forum (makes interesting reading incidentally on your discovery & execution - that is workmanship I could be proud of ),
it appears to me more likely you had simply blown the charging fuse if your voltage was really as low as 10-11V.

ya its toast, literally. it looks to have a hole melted in the back side and was smoking quite a bit. i haven't pulled it out yet but could see it with the rear seat off and it is fried.

Then you should also check out your stator - if the R/R is that bad, there is a good chance it may have taken the stator with it. Much greater expense unfortunately if that is the case.
Also check out your stator cables which may have burned in the process.
Your 02 should have a retrofit stator to regulator cable - the original was under-rated and subject to recall. You should have a stand-alone cable that is separate from the integrated harness, if it has been executed.
Details here
