leaking gas

I just bought a 01 daytona 955i. the tank is leaking around the seal for the fuel pump. Put new seal in and is still leaking. called a dealer they sais it could be a bolt hole as the leak is on the top. anyone know anything about a leak like this. seams like to much pressure in the tank, forcing gas out of the seal. dealer said requires 50 psi in tank. please help.

I had a leak after putting on a new seal and found that the tourque settings in the manual were to low and I just increased the tourque settings until the leak stopped.

I'd check to make sure gasket didn't slip, and that the mating surfaces were perfect. Torque till dry

Had the same problem with a S3, turned out to be a crack in the tank. glued back together with crazy glue and no more problem.

stimtech, If you don't know how, I'm pretty sure that a bodyman familiar with fiberglass can repair the tank...happens fairly often with fiberglass hoods.
