Hi! I'm at a bit of a loss and wonder if anyone else has suffered a similar problem. I have a 2000 Daytona 955i (silver wheels) and it runs fine until you give it the berries. When it gets hot, it cuts out every time you stop at traffic lights etc. My local Triumph dealers have had the bike in and remapped the ignition, but this has not improved it. I would be pleased to hear from anyone who has experienced the same fault and how it was overcome. Thanks

I had the exact same problem at about 35k on a 2001 Daytona. Turns out one of the coils had gone. My dealer replaced all three, and made Triumph pay the bill saying that it shouldnt've happened. My bike was not under warranty at the time.

The good news is you can limp it around if you let it cool off. I was 4 states away when mine went out. Rode it home.

Contact Todd at www.rideteamtriumph.com for specifics as to what he did.

Hi Todd

Thanks for that. I will pass the info on to the dealer. The bike is in bits at the moment and they seem to be scratching their heads somewhat!

Regards
