I want to adjust my idle speed on my 02 Daytona 955i. A few months back, I had it adjusted in the shop after my bike kept dying when I pulled in the clutch. It was in for a new chain and sproket, so figured, "Two birds one stone." It didn't happen all the time but enough to be a problem. I noticed the idle rpm's was little low, so i had it adjusted. It was fine for months. Now, the rpms are lower again and the engine is dying again. Is the idle adjustment something I can do myself? I didn't see it in the book.

check out the oxygen sensor troubleshooting in your manual, you may be having and issue with it. Your idle shouldn't change over time, at least not that little amount of time. If the Oxygen sensor is bad, or you rev your bike in idle just after starting, it can mess with the sensor as well.
-Good luck!

Thanks! I'll look into that, but is there a way to adjust it back? Although it was a couple of months ago it was well over 12k miles ago. Does that make a difference? Thanks, Jay

You cannot adjust engine idle of the EFI 955i without getting a TuneBoy for your bike. The computer controls idle speed "electronically" via the IAC valve, but it sounds like you have another problem. Again, I suggest you get your hands on a Tuneboy, which should be all you need to take care of necessary "adjustments".
