Coming over to the dark side...

I have 72k on my '07 Bonnie, and have begun eying my next bike, which right now looks to be a new Speedmaster. I've sat on a red '12 at the dealership and love the static ergos of the new generation compared to the previous, but I've ridden neither. I suppose I'm just at the dreaming stage now, and if I can't stand the test ride will just get a new T100 and know I'll be happy, but thought the discussion might be illuminating. What do you all find different between the two, experientially?

I had a Bonnie, never really got into it. I traded it after a few months for a Speedie and I'm happy I made the right choice. It just feels better (looks better too, but that's a matter of opinion of course).

I have a 2012 speedy and the mrs has a t100 , the obvious difference being riding position you sit low and inside the speedy but on the t100.

engines look the same but are very different. the speedy has a staggered crank giving a more vtwin feel , but the t100 with its parallel crank is quicker . the speedy with its taller gearing has a more laid back approach.

like it or not im afaid to say the bonnie draws far more attention when we are out. from bikers and non bikers alike.

I do prefer my speedy but then the mrs says her bonnie is the coolest thing on 2 wheels.
