Will a 2009 solo seat fit a 2010 ???
Can anyone please advise.....I have an opportunity to buy a 2009 America solo seat for my 2010 Speedmaster. The part number appears to be 2305680, but I've done searches for Triumph Parts Numbers and am still none the wiser.
Will it fit, or are the 2010 models somehow different ? Also looking at pillion seat from a 2009.
Thanks,
Peter

Yes ,remove the quick release catch and underneath the catch is a cage nut you can bolt the seat to

Hi, I have just fitted a maverick solo seat to my 2012 speedmaster.
its staight forward to fit even tho triumph say you cant fit a solo seat to later models
first undo the allen head bolt at the rear of seat , pull the quick release ring under the left hand side of seat and remove seat.
undo the 2 allen head bolts that are holding the release spike on {you will have to hold the nuts under the mudguard still } and remove the spike unit .
this will expose a threaded nut welded under the mudguard for you to fix your solo seat to .
so yes you can fit a solo seat to any model speedmaster .

As described above, you can fit an older model solo seat to your speedmaster. I just got my new 2012 matte black Speedie and fitted an older OEM solo seat. Fits perfectly and looks great.

I did find the part number on 2WheelPros.com:
http://www.2wheelpros.com/oem-parts/...5680-part.html
Interestingly enough, the site shows the seat will fit all model years EXCEPT 2009 and 2010. I did a similar search on BikeBandit.com, and got the same result. Now, if you are certain the seat came from a 2009, then it probably is a safe bet it will fit on the 2010, but I'd only buy if it there is a return policy no questions asked.

hey guys,
well, picked up my solo and pillion seats yesterday - look good.
Now the fun begins. i have to get the right bolt to fit on to my Speedy - one that not only secures the solo seat, but then allows the pillion seat to be slipped on.
The solo seat actually looks to be stamped as an "01" seat - please tell me there won't be any problems fitting it ? i had a play last night (without the attaching bolt) and it seems to fit. Trouble is I can see that the pillion seat will need the right bolt to be secured properly.
I don't suppose anyone has a picture of there's.?
Mine is a 2010.

If you are fitting a pillion seat as well, you require the special bolt with a groove in,(from triumph) to allow the pillion seat to slide into, and is locked in place with the rear bolt
