I have recently bought a 2011 America and I am wanting to buy some bits and pieces. Please post your links to some good suppliers in Australia (WA in particular) as I have found it hard to find them, plenty from the UK or USA, but I would prefer to buy locally.

How come parts and accessories are so much more expensive here in Australia - are we being ripped off?

I deal a bit with "Fast Eddy Sports" in the states.Awesome service and very good prices.Eddy's one of natures gentlemen and a Triumph rider too.

No problems whatsoever with Eddy.

Don't know any triumph specific suppliers.except for Triumph dealers.

I normally just use my local MC shop for most things ,except what I get from Eddy.With the Aussie dollar high now is ok for buying.

My mates have bought from Fast Eddy for their accessories, and when I asked the same question of where to buy from without the HIGH price, they all suggested FastEddy. The Aussie dollar is going well and you can get some pretty good savings from them.
I totally agree with you regarding the prices in Oz being high. One word... Taxes!! Unfortunately, it isn't really the dealers fault, they have to make money aswell, but they also don't work on a lot of margin with pricing. Strike a deal with your local bike dealer to see about purchasing the product from them and have them install the item on your bike for nothing. I recently did that with a few items on my bike, and I think it was a win/win for both of us. Not to mention it being done properly be qualified guys in a short amount of time, other then me doing it and screwing it up!!

I've bought plenty of things from overseas, including from fast eddy and as long as you factor in the shipping costs, most things work out pretty well.
The high aussie dollar definitely helps though. And remember to keep your purchases under $1000 to avoid any import taxes.

I did find one australian site which has a few parts I'm interested in, haven't actually bought anything off them yet, so I can't comment on service, but you can check it out if you like.

Parts for anything are expensive here in Oz and it's not taxes. Small volumes mean that dealers/wholesalers etc. can't get the same volume discounts as overseas, especially in the USA. Also, there are less sales to spread fixed costs like rent and wages (both are high in Australia, even compared to other "western" countries) so they need higher mark-ups. Not to mention Australian importers (and dealerships) are notorious for making huge margins, if the dealer doesn't do their own importing.

I'm in Perth and haven't found anywhere local that comes close to the prices and service offered by fast eddy and some other US online sellers. It's impossible to overstate how good eddy is.

Hey Scoob, I've purchased gear from Gary @ Triumphperformanceparts. Com in Melbourne. I've found him to be very reliable & prompt with focus on service @ reasonable prices. Worth giving him a go. Buy Aussi if you can. At least you can phone & speak to him regarding anything Triumph. I'm pretty sure you won't be disappointed.

Bought some stuff from Triumph Performance Parts. Good service and prices were comparable to overseas. Just a shame Australia Post still use camels to get stuff to WA.

Yeah, the freight is a killer getting things from OS.
Was wondering why IKON stuff is cheaper in the US than it is here where I presume it is made.
