2006 America

Hi All,

Been looking around for a used America/Speedmaster. Found a 2006 America for $4500.00 with only 1500 miles. Going to look at it Thursday. Anything special I should look for? How's the price? Compared to what I've seen it seems good. Not many used America/Speedmasters out there. At least not around me.

Any advice would be Great!

Thanks!

Doza

Sounds like a great deal!

$4500 for an 06 with 1500 miles on the clock sounds like a great deal, you might even be able to haggle lower than that. I know what its like not having what you want locally, i was lucky enough to find an 02 TBA with 12,000 miles on it in 2008 about 100 miles north of me, paid just under $5k for it. I would snatch that up!

Cheers!

Bill

Sounds Good

There is a 07 America being advertised by a dealer for $5,595 in CT with 4500 miles. Sounds like the bike you found is a fair deal if the condition is mint.

Check it over. Sounds like a decent deal. (A good deal is when buyer and seller both feel good.)

Makes me cry. You'd pay more than double that amount for the same bike in Australia. The main reson is probably the huge markup Triumph Australia put on the new bikes which makes them probably 70%+ more expensive than in the US.

Thanks for the advice. Just signed papers on a 2006 America in great shape with only 8500 miles. The other one in CT got bought before I could get down there, but it worked out for the best. Now I just need to figure out what to do about the sewing machine sound.

I bought Staintunes, and took the baffles out. Sounds nice, especially opened up. Gorgeous when idling at the lights.

I'd like to just go out an buy pipes, but the bike sucked up most of the well. Looking for an extra set of stock pipes that I can have de-baffled. Don't want to take off my current ones and not be able to ride.

I have a set of TORS for sale in the Classified section for $200. They sound great without being to loud.
