Re-locating rear signals to the fender brace?

I have seen it done on allot of bikes, but haven't been able to find if its a parts kit or just a custom job. Anyone know how I can go about doing it?

Its a custom job. I have not done it to mine because I use saddle bags sometimes but its simple enough. Either make a new hole or drill out one of the holes for the bolts. I did the signals from british customs on the front of my bike and they rock. nice and bright, just splice the existing wires to the new ones, no big deal. I used butt splices, prolly not the best way to do it but it works fine. Might not want to do that on the rear since it has a much higher chance for crap getting in there. Soldering is prolly the best.

Thanks for the info. I have saddlebags too, but am going to ditch them now that I have bobbed my rear fender.

It's not that hard. If you want to use your stock signals you'll have to have them cut and milled (threaded) and then get a nut and a lock washer. You can see pictures of mine in some other threads in this forum(I believe I posted in one about relocating before.) I actually took mine off today and replaced them with smaller brushed aluminum jobs that match my tail light.

I'd recommend your local aftermarket shop. Or even a Harley Davidson shop. Loads of H-D's use blinkers affixed to the fender brace. And they have a good (large) selection to choose from. Try JC Whitney to.

Thanks Eric.

I like the look of the fender mounted indicators but I use large saddlebags, so they're not an option for me, sadly.
