aftermarket lower & upper windshield brackets

Parabellum tells me that Triumph changed there fork size after 2006 on the America and the Speedmaster and their windscreen will not fit 2007 and up models. I see that some of you have used Memphis Fats / Slim MEM 9907 upper brackets and Kawasaki VN900 lower brackets. I am not clear if these will fit on my 2009 America or what mods. may have to be made. I have bought a Slipstreamer HO that mounts on the bars and comes off in a flash, but I would like a fork mounted one for colder spring and fall weather. Silpstreamer has a model that fits extra large forks. Has anyone put these on a 2007 and up ? Obviously aftermarket anything is hard to come by for Triumph. Picking my bike up next week. Last Triumph was a new one in 1963. Harley's, Honda's, Yamaha's, Norton's and Victory's in between. I am new at this so be gentle EH!

I'm going through this right now. I have a Slipstreamer Viper on my 07 America. I like it but wanted a fork mounted screen. I bought a Memphis Slims 17" and also the MEM9907 kit as others had said worked. WRONG. That kit only fits 06 and older.
So I called Memphis Shades and they are sending me 4 - 63-68MM adjustable fork clamps. The other brackets that come with the 9907 fit the windshield just fine, only needed the larger fork clamps. Love the look of the Memphis Shades Slims or even the Fats.
I bought one with the lower part shaded in black like my America. Wayne

afftermarket windshields

Hi This windshield thing is a real mystery. I would like one that is detatchable, reasonably priced, looks good ,WORKS and FITS. Maybe I am asking to much. I have looked at all the threads even on Bonneville America Cycle Riders site and find it confusing as to what fits those tapered forks on the 07 and newer Americas. b315653 did you use your MEM9907 parts and how much extra did the other brackets cost you. From what i have learned the other thing that is really needed is lowers ,which is also a bit of a fitting mystery. Wayne

The only other parts in the mounting kit are the two brackets that bolt directly to windshield. I had to pay $60 shipped for the 4 additional 63-68MM fork clamps. I did get a deal for the new shield and mounting kit on ebay so I'm about even I figure.
These shields can be removed fairly fast with a simple allen (hex) wrench if you want to ride without it for a while. You don't have to remove the fork clamps, just the shield. I'm waiting for those clamps to come in so I can mount the new shield. I'll post back if you want me to with any final thoughts if you want. Wayne

09 America windshield & lowers

One thing I did not ask you b315653, nice to have a name ! was where did you order your 63-68 mm fork clamps for $60.00? I found the best price on the National Switchblade Two Up windshield is the Motorcycle Accessory Warehouse you can make them an offer! Thanks for the info on the Memphis lowers Norm T. I feel that would make a big difference . I like the option of going naked, putting on my Slipstreamer HO mini police which is sporty and comes on and off in seconds or for more protection putting on my Switchblade which also comes off in seconds. My bike only has only a few k's on it I just added floorboards, tacho, and I put on my Supertrap mufflers left over from my H.D. dresser.I cannot believe how heavy and restricted the stock mufflers are. What a difference , starting to make a bike out of it,shocks and air cleaner yet to come. Wayne
