America/Speedy seat swap

Hello all- wondering if anyone has performed a seat swap, replacing their gunfighter Speedmaster seat with the America seat and pillion. I know folks have done it, I searched for the topic- but don't know if it's a straight bolt-on or if there are some technical issues to work out? It seems the speedy and america use different quick release posts to lock the seat into the fender.

Thanks for any and all feedback.

I have the America seats but they were installed by the dealer when I bought the machine. So I don't know how difficult it is but I am happy with the arrrangement.

Hi wolfman fairly simple once you take off the middle locking pin there is a threaded hole under it you will need a slotted seat bolt these are available from new speedmaster for under $20 us the bolt holds down the rear of the riders seat and the pillion seat fits into the slot and bolts at the rear with existing bolt

I have a 09 America and switched to a speedy seat for a short period and then went back to the America seat and pillion. Unfortunatly its not a quick swap out. You have to go under the rear fender and unscrew the existing bolt and like prevoius post stated, buy the slotted bolt for America seat. I like to switch the look around often, makes you feel like you have a diffrent bike and keeps it interesting but wife hates the speedy seat and my friends tell me America seat looks more like a cruiser and fits bike better so I kept America seat on for now. Although I did see a contraption on Ebay which states its a universal mount that goes under the seat so you can switch between the two seats within seconds. I will try and find that universal mount and post where i find it because I think most people would swap out seats more often if it was a quick swap. I want the best of both worlds without the hassle either.
