JS Motorcycle lift

These lifts http://jsjacks.com/ seem to do a great job and apparently work on a Speedmaster so I assume they would work on an America.

Does anyone own one and use it on an America?

Got one almost identical to that, works fine on the America.
There are a lot of these type lifts on the market. I wouldn't mind betting that they were all made by the same manufacturer then painted differant colours to be sold by differant distributers.

How do they work?

Am I correct in assuming that the weight of the bike and the relatively broad base (the frame) that it sits on keep them so stable?

JS Motorcycle lift

I always strap the bike when it's on the stand and I'm working on it.
I'd advise others to do the same, no matter what the sales pitch says.
