Brake Issue

hi there,

i was playing around with my front brake the other day and stupidly pulled off a bit of rubber that seemed to hold the front brake in place. it's hard to explain but the photo below should be enough to help you understand. (indicated in green)

now i ultimately need to get this part back on the bike but can't force it back through. i believe i will need to take the brake off. i have managed to unscrew the top nut (in purple) however the one in red is way too tight to budge!

can anyone point me in the right direction to fix this?

thanks

You could try removing the bolt that you can get loose, then gently try to twist the caliper back and forth a bit while trying to loosen the other bolt. That bolt shouldn't be difficult to remove with a good fitting wrench...
