peedmaster Turn Signal Bulbs

So I bought some clear turn signal lenses for my 09 Speedy with orange bulbs. First day riding to work and one of the blubs blow! Too costly to send back to UK distributor so need to buy some new ones.

Does anyone know at what wattage the turn signal bulbs are rated?

A computer word is 16 bits. 2 bits = 1 quarter (25c). 1 bit is 12.5c. A word is worth $2, therefore a picture is worth $2,000. Eugene Volokh

Where did you buy those lenses and for what price?

Like already answered, you'll find those orange bulbs at any autopart store. Btw. why not use leds?

Look for some Sylvania Silver Star 1156 bulbs, they
have a blue tint but flash amber, gets rid of that
" sunny side up, egg in the pan look" I also painted the
white bulb holder chrome silver, gave the entire bike
a new look with the clear lenses.

Waiting for the snow to melt......yawn........

Found them on ebay at http://cgi.ebay.com.au/Clear-Lens-In...item2c5308c5c8

They were GBP14.90 for a set of 4 lenses and bulbs. As the instructions (and someone else on this forum) suggest, you need to drill out the holes a little to make them fit. They also loose whatever waterproofing properties the OEM lenses have as they do not have a flange which is recessed into the body of the holder. I am sure someone smarter than I could come up with an idea here!

I like the more classic look that the OEM blinkers provide.

I used a Dremel tool to break the outer edge & form a "compression" fit into the OEM blinker housing. I also used #4 stainless washers (very small) under the mounting screws to cover the elongated holes.

I use LED bulbs with mine (with special LED flasher from Bella Corse).

On the bike:

Here's a shot of the clear lenses & supplied bulbs:

Ah the old Dremel tool - seems like the tool to have. Must get one, I am sure I could find a use for it, although would probably be fairly dangerous in my hands.

I notice you have resisted the urge to relocate your turn signals. Is this something you are considering?

No, I like the front blinkers where they are. I would, however, like to shorten the lightbar so that the center of the blinkers and center of the passing lamps are in the same vertical plane.
