Anyone suffered a premature front wheel bearing failure? My left side, brake rotor side, has got loads of play in it. You can only feel it through the bars at low speed or by shaking the bars. My dealer is replacing both bearing under warranty so just wondered if this is common or I'm just unlucky?

You are unlucky. The weight of a bike and riders is a light load for the bearings and they are sealed both sides, should last a long time.

I changed front and back at about 80,000 K,s just because i though i should , they came out looking good , but have done steering head and swing arm now as well

Unlucky. thats what the dealer said, anyway had both front bearings replaced on Saturday under warranty.
