Thundermaster or Speedbird?

I test rode a Thunderbird over the weekend and, while the engine, gearbox and belt-drive combination was absolutely AWESOME (the best engine I have ever experienced, hands down), I prefer the riding position, handling and overall feel and attitude of the Speedmaster. Now, this is not something that I'm likely to look into seriously in the short term, if ever, but does anyone have any thoughts on whether the T'bird drivetrain would fit in a Speedmaster chassis?

At the moment I'm hoping that my Speedy will start to feel like a 900cc bike again soon and not a 250 after riding the torque-monster that is the Thunderbird.

I think that's what you'd have if you stuffed a noisy, vibrating, inefficient V-Twin into a Thunderbird chassis. I guess the Speedmaster equivalent would be a Speedhog...

Highly doubtful that you could ever fit the T'bird engine/tranny into a
Speedmaster frame. That is a big difference in size, plus you would need room for the radiator.

You want T'bird power, how about adding this to the Speedmaster:

Don't want the Thunderbird's power, I want the instant torque at any revs; not turbo lag and nothing at low revs. Maybe a mechanical supercharger is what I need.

steam engine - highest starting torque engine you can get.

Practical in bike? thats for you to decide.

a few years back I built a supercharged Briggs raptor engine for my cart, lots of fun. short engine life - but thats racing.
