Scottoiler on 2009 America

Just been researching the possibility of putting a scottolier on my 2009 America. Guy at the dealership tells me Triumph don't like them and it will affect my warranty.
Is it such an issue, anyone got one?

What rubbish! I've had Scottoilers on brand new Triumphs, fitted by the dealer! If your dealer won't fit one, do it yourself. It isn't hard, and takes about 2 hours, tops. IMHO they are one of the best gadgets out there.

I've wanted to fit a scottoiler to my speedmaster but I just can't see where to hide the rmv!? There's just no place for it and I'm terrible for forgetting to lube the chain. Would prefer belt drive but the kit's just too dear right now.
If anyone fits one please post photos.

The small canister that holds the oil. It needs to be above the level of the chain for obvious reasons and would normally get hidden away under the seat or behind a side panel. Trouble is, as we all know, there's not enough room for a cat fart under there.

What you need is the touring reservoir. This is much larger, and locates behind the number ( or license ) plate. I belirve this holds enough oil for a couple of thousand miles, and is easier to fill. However, I haven't fitted one, so I don't know what's involved. I'm sure you could find out more on Scottoilers website.

I had one of them on a previous bike and, tbh, they're too hideous for words! There's just no way I could complicate hanging one of them off the back of an otherwise beautufil bike.
Sigh. S'pose the search fora solution continues...

Small one attached to the right hand side. On the angle frame bit behind the side cover above the chain.
