Detaching the tank ob 08 America

This might seem a stupid question to some of you but, I fitted the Triumph "Light Bar" at the weekend and had to remove the tanks, thats fine but as there is no fuel tap I left the tank connect at this point only, I did notice underneath what looked like a connector. Is this a connector containing a shut off perhaps or do you always have to drain the tank down first?

With the EFI's you have a fuel pump in the tank so you will not have a on/off tap. Just unplug the fuel hose at that connector you are talking about and that is all there is to it.
Cheers,
John

Why did you have to remove the tank to fit the light bar

You have to run the wiring harness provided in the kit under the tank, also there is a connector under there you have find as well as fitting the relay.

I found that you have only to lift the tank up a bit, with the help of another, the light connections slide right onto the medal holder on the right hand side and the wires plug in without problem. make sure you have not pulled out the breather tube under the tank,,
