Could someone please help me, I am about to buy a new battery for my 2001 America. I've searched loads of sites for the relevant battery (ytx12 bs 12v 10ah) and all pictures of batteries I have found for sale have the terminals on the wrong side!?!? So anyone that has bought a battery online do they use a general picture to go with the description which isn't neccasarily the battery being sold?

If I don't get an answer by morning I will pop down to a local bike shop, I'm just being impatient lol. Also can anyone recomend a good battery in the UK?

Sorry for watsting your time everyone, I got it wrong! I never turned the battery around 180 degrees when I imagined fitting it and that's why the terminals were on the 'wrong side'.

Hi, My battery (GS type GTX12-BS) on my 03 speedmaster reads 12.82 volts when fully charged. Ive had a few problems starting the bike recently & the battery runs out of life very quickly, is this voltage reading correct & is it a sign of a dying battery coming to its life end ?
