New to Triumph

I just received my 2007 speedmaster but don't know anything about working with the bike. Two things: anyone know where to get a PDF version of the manual? and can someone tell me the trick to getting into the battery compartment?

Thanks!

Tim

A great purchase , To get to the battery pull the left side cheese grater ( faux air cleaner ) there are two bolts and once you get that off the black plastic peice under it comes off two bolts also and then the battery strap . I believe they are all 6 or 8 mm allens

Thank you. Yes, I'm working my way around the bike but it's freakin' cold here, so riding will have to wait a few days. Can't wait to get this on the road.

Cheers!

Actually if you pull the plastic surround off from around the ignition switch (Key) there should be an allen in there .

Thanks to you both for the help. I'll check out the place around the ignition. Also, thanks for the manual link, that's extremely helpful.

Just be careful when pulling this cover off. Do not force it upwards or you will do what I did - break the tab of the cover which allows it to clip back onto the frame! $AUD40 to replace!

A computer word is 16 bits. 2 bits = 1 quarter (25c). 1 bit is 12.5c. A word is worth $2, therefore a picture is worth $2,000. Eugene Volokh

Well i'm the king of forcing stuff and paying the price, so that's good advice. Cheers.

Thumbs up

Congratulations on the Speedmaster, Tim. The ice and snow are beginning to melt around here. Hopefully the same wherever you are, so you can get out when the roads are clear. Enjoy your great machine!
