Mulberry Speedmaster

So, I went down to the dealer this weekend and rode several bikes as the demo truck was there. Mainly went to ride a Speedmaster. Got to and loved it. Now I have seen 1 2007 Mulberry red bike on Ebay and know they only made them the one year. Does anybody have any idea how many were produced, is this going to be like looking for a needle in a haystack? Black would be fine but man does that Mulberry look good.

This was the one from ebay awhile ago. Great pic for ebay.

That Mulberry Red really does look nice, best of luck to you if you can find one. You certainly don't see them up for sale very often.
Black (if a bit more common) looks just as good .

Another thought, is the color shown in the vin number like on a car?

I guess I could paint the tins.

I've never seen a paint code in a VIN.

Generally, for cars, a dealer or manufacturer can tell which paint code is used based on the VIN but the code is not contained within the VIN. FWIW, the paint code for Mullberry is CS.

The first time I ever really noticed a Speedmaster, it was Mullberry and I thought the color was gorgeous. If Triumph hadn't offered the Phantom Black/New England White combo, I would have bought black and painted it myself. For now, I'm digging the two-tone.

I do get lots of comments on my mulberry. When I bought it, I had been dealing on a red and black two tone when this one caught my eye. I have not seen another in the wild so I guess they didn't make that many.

Humpedzebra, are they the standard risers?

I love the mulberry, it's a great colour and I would definitely go that way if I could, but they're as rare as hen's teeth and I NEED a Speedy now! I'm just going to have to settle for black with "ghost" flames (but still another 2-3 weeks to wait ).

The pictures are standard risers. I have since addded Rivco risers. It does feel better, sort of like I no longer am reaching for the bars.

Don't pay over the odds for the right colour, it will not cost much to get the tank sprayed up - you can leave the mud guards and side panel alone if you wish
