Rocker gear lever
Does anyone of you use this device? Any tips how to do it properly? I bought and installed it recently and either it's me being too stupid to use it correctly, or someone screwed it a bit out there in Hinckley.
I mean the rear part of it - you're supposed to operate it with your heel, but the damn thing is way too high and you need to elevate the whole leg in order to put your heel on it. Absolute nonsense.

I have a rocker lever on my Speedmaster, but it is in combination with floorboards. With floorboards it makes it easier to actuate, but I would prefer the original pegs/lever.
Anyone have a set lying around for sale?

you can adjust the angle of the rocker (relative to your foot position) by using the threaded rod that links the shifter shaft to the rocker. It has jam nuts at each end, loosen those and the rods becomes a turn buckle. adjust to suit and tighten the jam nuts.

As mentioned, the rocker is to be used with floorboards and cannot be adjusted like you want it. I have never liked the heel shift cause I have big feet.

The adjustment is limited by the slot and bolt to the rear, I have mine down as far as possible and it is still not comfortable. Presently having to do a big heel stamp to change up. Thinking of going to boards but the rocker seems too short. Anyone got a photo or comments?

Mag10 - thanx for the tip, I did it, but as PhilS mentioned - it has some major limitations. It helped a bit though, I think I can get used to it now.

Rocker shift fix
I have the rocker with floorboards on my 09 America, and I, too, got tired of the awkward heel stomp upshift. I removed the rear rubber peg and just swing my left heel in to press down on the lever arm itself, halfway between the pivot and the rear peg boss. Shorter stroke and very crisp shifts. Also, with that rear peg gone, I can shift my both feet to the back edge of the floorboards while cruising to gain a posture shift to ward off leg/foot cramps etc. on long rides.

if anyone fancies getting rid of their rocker lever (and footboards if you like) I'm willing to buy off you or trade my pegs/lever for them.
let me know if anyone wants to talk - i've wanted to try these out ever since I saw them on a Kawi VN1600 a while back. Willing to take the risk and see if they suit me and my style
if anyone fancies trading rocker/footboards for standard lever/pegs I'm going to have to wait till I receive and fit them before sending the lever/pegs on as I ride all year round for work so can't really whack them off and ride without them - I know its a risk, but if anyone's up for it pm me and lets see what we can arrange

I'm thinking of trying one of these when my Speedmaster finally arrives.
They are for the Hyosung GV250; the "s" shaped one is meant to be used with pegs and the "u" shaped one is meant to be used with boards. I currently use the "s" shaped with pegs on a GV250 but looking at the Speedmaster shifter, I think that it's going to need the "u" shaped one with pegs. These just clamp onto the standard shift pedal and can be bent into a comfortable position.
Edit: The reason for using these is that it lets me wear shoes that I wouldn't otherwise because it would ruin the instep-toe area, like work shoes.
