Hey,

I've been on the forum for a little while now, and I've never seen any reference made to the 2 little rubber blanks on the dashboard of the Speedy/America. You know, the 2 little black grommets on either side of the idiot lights.

What are they for? Is there an option I'm missing or something?

Standing by for the obvious answer.

As far as I understand one is for a clock and one is for the alaram LED. Both aftermarket Triumph stuff.

I've actually wondered the same thing. I don't think either of the rubber plugs is big enough for a clock. One looks like it could fit a single LED or idiot light, and the other looks like it could fit 2 of them. But I don't know what would go there either.

When MercKing said clock, he's talking about the hour/minute adjustment for the clock that fits where the tach fits on a Speedy.

I was thinking about mounting an MP3 player in there and using the small plug for the headphone socket and the other a switch to skip tracks.

I got them years ago at a local bike swap meet. They laid in a drawer for a few years until I got the SM in 04. I lucked out, they fit perfectly in the dash holes.
