Standard seat locking bolt - pics please

Hi all

My Speedmaster got delivered with the solo gel seat. I was looking at fitting my pillion seat when it seemed that the bolt under the middle of the seat should have some sort of profile for the standard seat to locate onto (the one that requires you to pull the hoop in order to release it).

Could somebody show me a picture of how this bolt should look before I go and shout at the dealer.

Thanks in advance
Stu

I don't have a picture - but I have drawn what I think I remember how it looked like (see attachment).

If you have the standard seat (using this 'pin/bolt') - you will have to remove it and replace it with a different bolt - one that has a recess around it for when you 'hook' the passenger seat into it.
A bit like this one:

(but it's NOT this one - the one you get doesn't have the Union Flag on it!)

Hope this helps?

<edit>
I can photograph it tonight if you still want me too?

Leave the pork pies for now - get the sausage rolls while they're hot!

Took Pictures Anyway...

Good to here the parts are on their way!

Here's the pin/bolt thingy anyways:

And here's a shot with my lad in it, unpacking the touring passenger seat.
You can just make-out the bolt for the Long-Haul seat and passenger seat.

OK, so I saw this small loop hanging out from under my Speedmaster seat... and wondered what it was for. I couldn't figure out how to remove the stock seat, but now you might have solved the mystery. Do you pull the loop to somehow unfasten the seat??? Can someone explain this further? thanks.

Remove the bolt from just behind the pillion pad, pull the "small loop", lift the rear of the seat unit over the top of the securing post (just over an inch should do) then slide the whole seat unit towards the rear of the bike (this allows the front to clear the locating tab just behind the fuel tank.

Just for information

Whilst on the phone to the dealer i found a website (listed on this forum) which has microfiche of many bikes, including mine.

The delivery i received was incomplete, so with parts list and exlpoded diagram in front of me i was able to sound very convincing that he had sent an incomplete package (sounds very good when the item nubers match with the official Triumph dealers )
