I removed by AIs last night and feel that my thruxton is more responsive and is running smoother. I used the Kit from Newthruxton.com. The directions in the kit tell you to "remove the breather tube connecting the airbox to the air valve". Is this what has been coined the "snorkal"? I was told that rejetting was not needed with removal of the AIs but does this include removal of the "snorkal"?

No the snorkel is the huge thing coming out of your airbox under the fake oil tank cover on the left side of the bike.

The breather tube is a tube, kind of big (perhaps 3/4" in diameter) that comes from the little contraption that was bolted under your main frame tube, and runs down the left side of the bike into the air-box. The kit from NewBoniville.com comes with a nickel size plastic plug that goes in that whole.

Hopefully that is right, I have a California model, and mine had a whole series of extra tubes that yours doesn't. Please someone verify that I'm talking about the correct tube.
