i've been thinking about heading down to monterey in july for the motogp races; even though all the good tickets are sold there is always general admission.

if there was going to be thruxton or some sort of vintage racing i would be all over it but not sure about this elite racing stuff?

You're too close not to miss this. You'll get to see AMA superbike, supersort and superstock as well.

My wife and I use to fly in to San Jose each year and drive down to Carmel for a week. Wish I lived there.

Take the trip and bring back some photos!

dialysis, my friends are going to that race as we are moto GP fans. I'll be meeting them in Monterey, as they don't live in the bay area. If you are going to go, and if you are riding (I am), I can ride down with you.

Also, if you get tickets, and it isn't much more, get the paddock passes. I'm not sure if we got them this year, as my friend bought the tickets for me, but in the past having the paddock pass was worth it.

I don't believe there is any vintage racing, but there will be huge number of bikes, and races they do have will be a lot of fun.

I think we are camping over night down there, but I haven't really discussed the details yet. They just took my money when they were setting it all up.

Paddock passes are sold out as is the camping.

I have reserved seats for Saturday and Sunday.
