Advice, suggestions and opinions required
Decided to concentrate on suspension and tyre changes on the Thruxton.
Basically will look to fit Excel 17x3.5 front rim with 120/70 rubber and 17x4.25 rear with 150/60. The Carrozzeria option would be lovely, but hard to justify at the price here, and it still IMO doesn't give you as many options as 17 both ends if that's workable.
This will probably tend to require more effort up front, but it must improve road holding/handling with improved rubber choices. Or am I making a fatal error changing the 18 front?
I've got Ikon 7614 rears on and progressive front springs with cartridge emulators to go in with lighter oil. Decided to keep the standard forks than go the Honda F3 route (much harder to find here).
Any ideas on a Triumph front guard (in Tornado Red) that will work with a 17 and can be adapted to the Thruxton legs? Best I could guess at were early Sprint 900 or 600 Daytona or T595.
Fire away.....
