I think the Thruxton on the newthruxton.com homepage has been updated:

newthruxton.com

I don't recall the red rear sprocket. Looks good.

Anyway, I wonder what you all think of the brake light? I like the looks of it mounted up there on the cowl, and have been considering doing something similar. I'm not sure I want to remove all possibility of two-up riding though.

Someone mounted that brake light below on the bars. I saw it somewhere in the albums. That's what I want to try.

this may sound odd, but the sprocket makes the bike; to my eyes the symmetry is just right.

i considered that fender elim kit but decided to go with
a look that is more street-fighter and less retro.

if you like retro, however, it is cool and esthetically it pulls the bike longer.

Hi colthrux

Nice lookin bike, I see that you have some nice handlebar mirrors how did You attached them. I bought a pair with some expander bolt to fit inside the handles but it´s seems only to be a hole for a m4 screw there in end of handlebars.

How have You others done with it ?

Cheers

I installed Napoleon bar ends on my Thruxton. Had to cut off a piece from the mirror to make it flush with the bar end. I drilled and tapped the holes in the bars for a 5/16ths bolt, making sure not to drill too deep. The stock bolt for the endcaps is quite long. By being careful, I managed to leave enough of the original threads to replace the endcaps if I ever want to return to stock. The throttle end will require a washer so as not to interfere with the throttle. The mirrors look and work great. Easy job!

I bought the light kit from newthruxton and it was a pain to retro fit. The screws were not long enough to make it through the light casing and the wiring doesn't match up.

All of the complaints aside, the light is okay but I didn't want to ruin my cowl. I bobbed my fender and mounted the light on the fender as well as the stocks turn signals.
