I was told by a friend that I should consider getting my Carb’s Re-Jetted when I bring my 04 Thruxton for its first service. My friend is a total gear head but he does not currently own a Triumph.

Now since I know nothing about motors Carb Re-jetting sounds more like something from the Atkins Diet program.

Can anybody explain what this is and (most importantly) should I actually get it done.

Does it require any extra hardware and if so generally what are the costs’s associated with this procedure?

Thanks
