I am planning on purchasing a Black (or Yellow) Thruxton this weekend. The dealer contact has been good, and there was no pressure, however as part of the "deal" I can get 15% off any accessory purchase at the time of bike purchase. I am thinking of the T.O.R. exhaust as the dealer will have it installed and tuned for $300 total and ready for the pick up. Are there any other options that would benefit performance in any way? Please keep in mind, I don't want to spend a ton (though I could think of many ways), but want to pick the best bang for buck. My plan is to modify the bike with bar end mirrors, gaiters for forks and eventually fender mods and suspension upgrades. Thanks for a great forum as many ideas came from your discussions and modifications as well as the little push on deciding on the Thruxton.

Pipes are a good mod. $300 for TORs from the dealer is really low.
I find the Napoleon bar-end mirrors to be a big improvement over stock, as are the IKON shocks.

If you wanna start small, go with a good bar-end mirror first. You don't realize how much better a mirror can be until you swap for something good versus the stockers.

I also find that the accessory power outlet is a very nice low-bux improvement and the bike is pre-wired for it. Flysacreen looks cool, but it does not offer huge wind protection.

Have fun! Thruxton is a sweet bike.

DrE, thanks for the information. Went to the dealer today and selected the black one and found the pipes to be actually 390 installed, tuned etc. with the purchase. I get 15% off other accessories as well and the bar end mirrors are definitly an item I planned on getting soon (wanting to try the stock for a while).

Other Motorcycle: I wish!
If you are not going to be getting to keep the original pipes, I would be asking the dealer how much to have the TORs fitted later and really see what sort of discount you are getting,

I am not sure but I am lead to believe that the TORs should be just a bolt on job with no tuning needed as is the case with the TBS.
