Thumbs up Daily Commuter: YES!

I commute 40 to 60 miles a day on my thrux, every day, rain or shine, summer and winter. LOVE IT. Didn't ride 4 days last winter when there was ice & snow on the ground, other than that, every day.

I'm 44 years old, never ride with passenger. Have taken 2 or 3 seven hours trips (to beach and back in a single sitting!!) and the seat was worse than the wrist thing; then again - I have no ass so YMMV.

Great bike.

Someone mentioned the warm up time. (I'm in Maryland). I don't mind it at all, and I do it every time - makes me feel like I'm going to make the engine last that much longer. I use that time suit up, check spokes, etc. No biggie.

This is pretty much my commute. Of course with the Thruxton I already know I'll be taking the long way everyday . I've been trying to sort out gear for the past week. I'll need to get a leather jacket, gloves, a helmet, and rain gear. Do you guys have any recommendations on the rain gear? I'm thinking something I can fold up and strap down to my bike when I arrive at work or school.
