Solo the Thruxton was fine for 2 hours+. But with the wife on the back things got uncomfortable.

I'll be listing my Thruxton on eBay in about a week if you're interested, it'll be a nice ride home.
What do you want for the Ruckus?

yeah me too when we went 2-up it was a bit uncomfortable for the 20 minute ride. hopefully it was just the way she was sitting as it was her first time ever riding the bike.

I was wondering about this aspect. I'd probably ride solo 85% of the time, but might need to carry someone every once in a while.

I have to say though, it truly is better then coffee in the morning!

Like others, it will take a few to get used to the riding postion but the wrists are already starting the to come around.

Agree that it's better then coffee in the morning! But is's also better than sex in the afternoon, even the position is simular!

i ride my thrux as long as it's not raining and it's above 40f. i put 7000+ miles last year on it and it is fine for shooting around town. wrist and back aches for the first few days of ownership but after that the only comfort problems i've had are when i have tried to take trips on it. last fall i rode down to the boston mountains (nw arkansas) and back, 1000 miles in three days, and that was way too much. 2 weeks ago i rode to memphis and back over the weekend to visit a buddy, 650 miles in 2 days, again too much. i ride 100 miles a day pretty often and i'm fine though, just don't overdo it.

Like everyone else it takes some getting used to on the wrists. but i have to say i have an hour long 75 mile ride to work. I have 07 thruxton and my wife has a 07 monster so i have my pick in the morning and i always go with the thrux despite the monsters better riding position.
