rejetted, predators, airbox and air intake removed this weekend...
and the difference is like night and day. seriously. and the sound of the exhaust finally does this bike justice and no longer sounds like a suped-up vacuum cleaner! it's angry! asked the local triumph dealer (who also have three guys there who race thruxtons) and they recommended a 42 pilot and 130 for the mains. this seems to surprise most people including myself, but it seems to be working. in their race bikes they have 132.5's, but thats with a hotter cam. all i know is the bike is alive now and will be put on a dyno either tomorrow or wednesday to see what it's doing and to fine tune it. the bike is just way more responsive when you twist the throttle and now wants to go fast with no hesitation.
the other thing i'd like to mention is if you're hesitant to do this work on your own i have to say it was fairly easy to do. not complicated at all. i was lucky enough to have a fellow thruxton rider who lived near me offer to help and it went really fast and had no problems at all.
thanks, john for being super cool and offereing to help out with the mods! i really appreciate it, and like i mentioned before if you ever need any help with anything let me know! now we need to get out and ride sometime soon!
